Bosoon Park joins JSI’s Editorial Team

We are delighted that Bosoon Park has joined the Editorial Advisory Board of JSI—Journal of Spectral Imaging. Bosoon was a Guest Editor for the Special Issue of JSI on Papers Presented at IASIM-2016, Chamonix, France, and has contributed papers to the journal.

Bosoon Park is the Lead Scientist at the United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service in Athens, GA, USA. His research interests include hyperspectral and real-time multispectral imaging, hyperspectral microscope imaging, FT-IR, Raman spectroscopy, SERS, surface plasmon resonance imaging, and nanotechnology for food safety and quality. He is the author and co-author over 280 publications on bio-instrumentation, bio-sensing as well as food related nanotechnology.  He edited the book Hyperspectral Imaging Technology in Food and Agriculture as well as Advances in Applied Nanotechnology for Agriculture. He received numerous awards including ARS SEA Senior Scientist of the Year Award, Federal Laboratory Consortium Awards for Technology Transfer, Nano Research Innovation Award, and NASA Technology Transfer Award.  He is an Associate Editor of Transactions of the ASABE, Applied Engineering in Agriculture, and Editorial Board for Journal of Food Measurement and Characterization.  He was Chair for the American Chemical Society, Agricultural and Food Chemistry Division. He was elected as Fellow of American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers and currently he is Adjunct Professor at the Department of Food Science and Technology, The University of Georgia.
