We are delighted to welcome Daitaro Ishikawa to the Editorial Advisory Board of JSI–Journal of Spectral Imaging. Daitaro received his PhD in 2010 (Kagoshima University, Japan). He worked as a JSPS research fellow (2009–2010), a post-doc fellow in Professor Ozaki’s lab at Kwansei Gakuin University (2011–2013) and an assistant professor at Tohoku University (2014–2018). Currently, he works as an associate professor at Fukushima University (2019–). His research includes the development of novel NIR imaging devices and the state evaluation method of polymers, pharmaceutical tablets and food materials using spectral imaging. He is also interested in the improvement of distribution analytical technology combined with chemometrics for the practical use of spectral imaging. He received awards including NIR advanced award, Analytical Bioanalytical Chemistry presentation award and outstanding reviewer award.
